Top 10 Tips To Improve Your System Speed

1. Let your PC boot up completely before opening any applications.

2. Refresh the desk top after closing any applications. This will remove any unused files from the RAM.

3. Do not set very large file size images as your wallpaper. Do not keep  wallpaper at all if your PC is low on RAM (less than 64 MB).

4. Do not clutter your Desktop with a lot of shortcuts. Each shortcuts on the desktop uses up to 500 bytes of RAM

5. Delete the temporary internet files regularly.

6. Defragment your hard drive once every two months. This will free up a lot of space on your hard drive and rearrange the files so that your applications run faster.

7. Empty the recycle bin regularly. The files are not really deleted from your hard drive until your empty the recycle bin.

8. Always make two partitions in your hard drive. Install all large software (likes PSP, Photoshop, 3DS Max etc.) in the second partition. Windows uses all the available empty space in C drive as virtual when your computer RAM is full. Keep the C drive as empty as possible.

9. When installing new software disable the option of having a tray icon. The tray icons use up available RAM, and also slow down the booting of your PC. Also disable the option of starting the application automatically when the PC boots. You can disable these options later on also the tools or preferences menu in your application.

10. Protection your PC from dust. Dust causes the CPU cooling fan to jam and slow  thereby gradually heating your CPU and affecting the processing speed. Use compressed air to blow out any dust from the CPU. Never use vacuum.

RAM is the working area (Desktop) of the CPU, keep it as empty and uncluttered as possible!

How To Block a Web Site

Dear friends, you can easily find out the user which site been visited previous time by clicking History on menu bar. Using Internet sometimes we need  to avoid some web sites. You can easily blocked any web sites by the following links. For this go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc now click right button & open host file. Select notepad & click OK. Now you have to look up 127.0.01localhost. Those web site you want to block please type 127.0.01 space web address after the next line of 127.0.01 localhost (example if you want to blocked facebook than type 127.0.01 localhost www.facebook.com) Now save the host file. You can continue one after one unwanted web sites by follow this way. And if you want to unblocked those web sites you been blocked than just select the web sites then delete and save to continue.
